What kind of wire to use with MS Twisted Pair Transmission products? Use UTP (unshielded twisted pair) CAT 5 24 AWG (or over) to have the best transmission quality performance. To use STP (shielded twisted pair) cable, the shielded would cause internal signal interference, so the transmission range would be shorter ( 1.5KM--- >0.8KM) than UTP cable.
Un-twisted wire not to be recommended, which easy have interference and range would be shorter.
Can UTP wire to put with other wires in a multi pair wire bundle? Yes, One of benefits to use MS transceivers is interference rejection. MS
video signals can reside in the same wire bundle as multiple video signals, telephone wire, Ethernet, coaxial…etc. Power wire not to be recommended to put in the same bundle to avoid interference.
What is the advantage to use MS Twisted Pair Transmission products? SMART, FAST, COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION
1. Coaxial cabling transmission over 200 meters (RG59), the video signal would loss and have bad video image. Using MS passive video transceiver range could up to 300 meters (Color), 600 meters (B/W), even 1KM, 2.4KM to work with active transceiver.
2. To use MS TDP414V/TTP414V 4 channel transceiver/cable hub, only need one single CAT 5 cable to transmit 4 video signals for cable saving and fast installation.
3. CAT 5 cable cost is only half of Coaxial cable and much more easy installation than coaxial cable.

What is the difference between "Service" and "Non-Service"? What should I do if I want auto run the Monitor program? When you select "Service" mode, the scheduled recording will run in the background when you close the Monitor program. So non-Service means that you have to open the Monitor program to do the scheduled recording.
If you want to auto run the Monitor program, you have to select "Autorun" of "Service mode". Do not Autorun means the Monitor program will not be invoked automatically when Windows boots up. Manual startup is needed. The Autorun means the Monitor program will be invoked automatically without login when Windows boots up. The recording procedure will also be invoked if the proper schedule is configured.
Why does the image display in some Layouts but not in other Layouts? At the beginning, the inserted image channel will display in display frame automatically. But if you drag the image to another display frame or the trashcan, the function will expire and you have to press on the channel number and drag it to a display frame in order for it to work.
What's the meaning of "Reserved space" and "ree space" for cycle recording? Reserved space is the space that data cannot be record on. It can be used to execute other programs. Free space means the total usable space. We take the following for example.
The total space of my C hard disk is 29996MB, Free space means you only have 7582 MB can be used. So if you want the recording software only use 7282MB for recording, the reserved space should be 300 MB. (7582 - 7282 =300) The 300 MB cannot be used for recording.

SDK
How do I get the SDK? Currently, there are two kinds of SDKs from VIVOTEK. One is a high-profile SDK (ActiveX based) for which you can use VB to make application software, but the function is limited. The other is the main-profile (low-level) SDK, which is composed of *.DLL files and you could use it to do more functions on your software. We also provide the URL commands (CGI) document with the indication of the protocol signaling and streaming format.
The ActiveX SDK can be easily downloaded from our website, the DLL SDK is under the NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) protection, The SDK can be available after the NDA is signed. If you are interested to get the SDK, please email to info@vivotek.com . Michael will check your purpose and your qualification in your letter. If you pass the verification, he will contact with you.
I want to integrate your products on Linux platform. How can I do it? We do have SDK for Linux and the SDK is under "Non-disclosure agreement" protection. The SDK can be available after the NDA is signed. If you are interested to get the SDK, Michael will check your purpose and your qualification in your letter. If you pass the verification,he will contact with you. Thanks.
Can I see the image on Pocket PC or Windows Media Player? Pocket PC
Please download and install the viewcommander from http://www.ivimg.com/products/vcmobiledownload.htm
Windows Media Player
Please install our proprietary software Direct Show Filter.
I want to customize my home page and insert the video on my web site. How do I do it? Suggest you to use our ActiveX SDK to try it out first. You can visit our web site then register in the left side and visit Support->SDK to download 2000/3000/6000/7000 ActiveX SDK VitaminCtrl. The SDK includes software in VitaminCtrl\lib\VitaminDecoder, which can be installed on your PC. Installation program contains ActiveX control (.dll), the cab file, the sample page to host the cab file. There should be example HTML code for your reference.
What is the difference between High-Profile SDK and Main-Profile SDK? High Profile SDK contains two ActiveX Controls. The ActiveX Control is based on Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) that is used to denote reusable software components. There are mainly two parts in the High Profile SDK, one is Vitamin control and the other is MediaPlayback.
You can program with VB, Visual C++ and C# to reuse the controls. The main purpose of Vitamin control is to connect to the VIVOTEK Network Cameras or Video servers and display live video and audio after they’re decoded. Users can also record the video data using the control. The other one is MediaPlayback who can playback the recorded video and audio data from the database. The database can be recorded by ST3402 or by Vitamin control. The High Profile SDK is written with Main Profile SDK that is a suite of C library. We provide an easy and fast way to the development the software using ActiveX controls, therefore the flexibility becomes lower.
With the Main Profile SDK, you need to write many functions by your own, like getting connected with the streaming server (inside the Network Camera or the Video Server) and requesting the media data from the server. You can decide to decode or not decode the video or audio by your own, then display the video and audio with your favorite method and timing. High profile SDK is a special application written by Main Profile SDK.

When to use the "Port Forwarding"? What is "Port Forwarding"? If you don't want to forward port on the router manually, you can enable the "UPnP port forwarding" in the network page of the camera to forward the port on the router directly. (Note that your router has to have "UPnP" function as well)
"Port Forwarding" function will detect and map the port numbers of Network page with the router to see if they are already used by other devices or not.
If the camera detects that there are no conflicts with the ports in the router, then it will forward the ports in the router directly.
If the camera detects that the ports have been used for other devices, in the network page, it will show "red prompt" suggest which port number you have to change to (for 3000, 6000 series and IP7137/IP7135/PT7137/PT7135 cameras) or it will automatically change the port number.
After you changed the port numbers, you can access the camera by using http:// :

What is the difference between fixed quality and constant (fixed) bit rate? Which one is better for me? As you know, in our products you can select constant (fixed) bit rate to control the amount of the video stream data per second. If you select fixed quality, the amount of video stream data would be floating depending on the motion in the video. (From 1Kbps~300Mbps) Fixed quality uses a higher bit rate during fast motion scenes and a lower bit rate during slow motion scenes. Constant (fixed) bit rate means a constant bit rate must be used. The available bandwidth is fixed, like videoconferencing delivered on channels with fixed bandwidth. So you may lose some images during fast motion scenes.
If I want to set up the camera on Internet, which port number should be forward other than the HTTP port number 80? The following steps are the correct procedures.
- 2000 series: no audio, need HTTP port, default is 80.
- 3000 series: audio/video, need audio/video/control/HTTP port, default is 5001/5002/5003/80.
- 6000 series: audio/video, only HTTP port is needed (default is 80), but also can use UDP mode therefore 5002/5003.
- 7000 series: audio/video/rtsp, need HTTP/RTSP port number, default is 80/554.
What is the default IP address of our products? Regarding the 6000series,3000series,and 2000series, their default IP address is 192.168.0.99. If you have three our products, their IP address will be 192.168.0.99,192.168.0.100,192.168.0.101.Regarding the 7000series and our new models, their default IP address is 169.254.X.X that can be connected by your computer in any network address.
How can I pass audio and video at 80 port if the firewall in my office can allow HTTP only? Most office has setup firewall to filter packets other than 80 port, the default HTTP port, and the public IP address is shared by multiple workstations. That's why there are many methods used in VoIP, instant messenger, file exchanger to bypass this rule for communication.
Our 3000 series products need one port for video, one port for audio and the other port to control the handshake and synchronization. If users can only use HTTP mode, there is video only transmitted via HTTP. To utilize HTTP port for general web data and such heavy multimedia content may make network administrator unhappy. They cannot separate either one for best management. However, users have to solve multiple servers located inside the firewall. That needs NAT support. NAT should have port mapping for different private IP address to one public IP address.
Motion Detection
How do I set up the "Motion Detection "settings and what is the specific relation between "Sensitivity" & "Percentage"? There are two parameters in the motion detection settings: Threshold and Percentage. Pixel difference between two continuous images are calculated and compared to the parameter value "threshold." If the difference is larger than the threshold, this pixel is marked as "alerted". The processes will be done for all pixels in the motion detection window.
A higher sensitivity will detect slow movement more easily while a low sensitivity will only detect fast movement.
If the percentage of the "alerted" pixels is larger than the parameter value "percentage," the window will be indicated as motion occurred. A low percentage will detect objects that are smaller relative to the window size and a high percentage will only detect objects that are larger relative to the window size.
In the example, the pixels that are different from the first image and the second image are found (highlighted boxes). Each of these pixels is compared with their corresponding pixel in the other image and if the difference between the two pixels is greater than the chosen threshold, which in this case is 30%, the pixel is marked as "alerted." If more than the chosen percentage of pixels are "alerted," or in this case 30%, motion detection will be triggered. (Sen and Per.bmp)
How to get the snapshot from the camera when motion detection? Before use the FTP or email to get the snapshot, you have to add the motion windows.
1. Go to Motion Detection page and add a motion window. Remember to check the "Enable motion detection" item.
2. Go to the Application page; check the schedule for when you want to send snapshots, and choose Motion trigger and send snapshots by email.
Different models has different interface of the Application page, you have to check the Application page.
How do I restore factory default setting? There is a button in a hole on the case of the camera (varies from model to model) that is used to reset the system or restore the factory default settings. Sometimes resetting the system sets the system back to normal state. If the system problems remain after reset, please restore the factory settings and install again. Different model have different ways to restore default settings because the LED is different.
Steps:
- Find a probe (like a paper clip) to click the reset button inside the reset hole.
- Hold the button down for a few seconds.
- While you're holding down the button, the LED will go to POST (power on self test). Wait for the self-diagnostic to run twice.
- You can release the reset button and set up the camera by using the Installation Wizard again.
- The following is a film that shows you how to restore default settings.

What is the error number shown on IP Installer when installing the server? 1. Reason - 10048 Solution :
- Check the IP address of your PC conflicts with others . It most often happens to Windows 2000 bundled such services. Installer needs 68 and 69 ports to perform DHCP functions to get reference networ k settings.
- Check the port number used by DHCP service is used by other services in your PC.
2. Reason - 10065 Solution :
Check if IP address you assigned cannot be seen from your PC. You have better to assign a valid IP address in the same subnet with your PC. If your OS is Windows XP , this problem may happen by using the Installer. The reason may be the users enabled firewall settings. Please check the Control Panel->Network->Property->Advanced setting for firewall and disable it.
I forgot the password of my video server/network camera, what should I do? We are sorry you might need to reset the device to make it back to its default settings. You can achieve that purpose by using a probe to click the reset button inside the reset hole for a while. Once the LED shows POST after two iterations, you can release the reset button and using the default password to login again.
Why cannot I see any image though I think the configuration is done well? Since it is multi-channel software, we let users decide which channel to display in which window of which layout. Therefore users can notice the channel number, not the light bulb, will turn into blue to indicate the channel has been setup. Then users have to drag the channel number into the desired window and drop to show the image. The demo clip will show how to perform the procedures. Tell users to notice the cursor.
What is the passive mode of FTP? Normally, when you connect to an FTP site, the site establishes the data connection to your PC (the client). However, if the site allows passive transfers, you can have your PC establish the data connection. This is useful in some network environment protected by firewall or proxy.
How to differ Video Server or Network Camera from DVR products? The answer depends on what weighs more in your thought. If the customers look for the DVR solution, the proposed system should be the best C/P one with the best performance. After all, no one can compete with the titanic industry of PC. However, even though more and more DVR have network capability, the design concept does not come from networking, and there mote application is our advantage.
With add-on cards, the single PC can easily build a security system. However, simplicity limits the flexibility. It is hard to build a surveillance network with such systems. Image the general intranet applications that is composed by several control centers and tremendous network cameras. All points have different requirements and are connected via various network. The cost will be folded dependent of the surveillance points if you use the add-on card solution. Not mention about the complicated software to handle all components. But if the application is composed by control software running on control centers and standalone, stable network cameras or video servers, system integrator can easily and quickly build the whole system. And that's most system integrators doing now.
If you have some cases on hand, you can estimate the total price to see which one most suitable. But, don't forget the flexibility and expansibility.
How can I make my homepage different? For 2000 serial:
Text mode: User can change the camera selections name shown on the home page. The string is limited to 14 characters or 7 double-byte characters in DBCS (Double Byte Character System). And if you want to change the host name , you have to go to System page and edit the Host Name filed. The string is limited to 38 characters and 19 DB characters. For the font color and background color , they are also changeable in Homepage Layout page.
Graphic mode : You can change the buttons of camera selections , logo and background image by FTP. For the detail information of uploading image from FTP, please refer to Customize Graphics in Homepage part in user's manual. Please note that if the logo and background image you like is over the size limit, you can put it on another web server and make a URL to link to the image. But if the camera selection image is over the size, it will not show up in the home page and the font color and background color are changeable too.
For 3000 serial :
User just can modify the logo , font and background layout. There is no camera selection button to choose. However , you can write your own page with a video window of Video Server only. Refer to the page source of main page or V ideo Embedded in Customers' Homepage in User's Manual for homepage writing. Here is an example for your reference. If users want to try it in their environment, copy the files in example folder and replace the IP address in SAMPLE.HTM to their own Video Server. Or if your Homepage Layout page has "Use the customized homepage" bos, please check this option to use "user.htm" uploaded by administrators from FTP instead of the default one. The other setting in homepage not affect the "user.htm".
I have a web site and I want to design my own homepage to replace the current one. I want to make it so anyone one can see the image from my website. How do I do it? The easier method is to embeded the camera’s plug-in into your website and this method only works on Internet Explorer.
Because each series camera has different plug-in, please choose the correct sample for your camera.
The following are the HTML samples, you can click one to download it.
- 2000 Series IP Camera:2K.html

8. Please click" copy" to copy all settings to the DDNS form.
9. Please click "save" to save the changes.
If you have problem, please refer to Example-1 which takes PT7137 for example. Or you can refer to Example-2 which takes IP7138 for example.
What are the difference between DMIP and DDNS? DMIP utilizes standard File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to upload Ip address to a designated file server. This allows IP address of the GV System to be transferred to the file server periodically. You can now logon to the file server instead of GV System, file server will further redirect WebCam viewer to the GV-System.
What is Dynamic DNS (DDNS)?
The Dynamic DNS is a small application that allows GeoVision user to register a domain name that always points to their GV-System. The DNS Client will update GV-System's IP address to DNS server every 10 minutes. Therefore, even if you are using dynamic IP, you can still locate your GV-System by using the registered domain name.
Dynamic DNS supports Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003 only . DNS Client will not support Windows 95/98 or ME.
Dynamic DNS uses port: 80 to upload IP address over the Internet. If your GV-System is connected behind a router or firewall, please make sure port: 80 are open. Dynamic DNS will only upload Global IP addresses. If your GV-System is using virtual IP port mapping should be done first.
In conclusion, for the DMIP usage, you need either build up a file server or use Geovision file server to upload your IP address and then find your IP in the list to make a connection. On the other hand, the Dynamic DNS is for a user who can register a domain name and which allows clients connect to the GV-system without complex steps. Therefore, we strongly recommand customers to use Dynamic DNS for further connection between GV-system and client PC.
How to apply for free DNS (Domain Name) from GeoVision? • Go to "Windows / Start / Program / DDNS/" then run DNS Client.exe to bring up DNS Client dialog box. Click Register and the Dynamic DNS register page will appear.
• Input a username in the Username field. Username can be up to 16 characters. Username will accept "a ~ z", "0~9", and "-", but will not accept space or "-" as the first character.
• Input a password in the Password field. Passwords are case-sensitive and must be at least 6 characters. Input the password one more time in the Re-Type password field for confirmation.
• In "Word verification", enter the code within the box. In this example, the code you should enter is "im44". Word verification is not case-sensitive.
• Press the [Send] button and the system will display the following message if registration complete successfully.
• User may then access the GV server hosted network service using the registered domain name.
Connection
Why the IE browse cannot connect to the server after successfully installing? 1. Reason: The Plug-in is not correctly installed. Solution : Please lower the security level of IE link the following picture marked.
2. Reason: The HTTP Port is not assigned in URL. Solution : Type " http://assigned:HTTP Port " , such as http://192.168.0.100:8080 in URL.
3. Reason: Forgot the HTTP port. Solution : Download the config.ini file from FTP like following steps: Please note that 192.168.0.203 is an example.
How many users are allowed to connect Video Server or Network Camera? - 2000 series:Allow twenty users.
- 3000/6000 series:Allow Ten users.
Allow more users to receive periodic snapshots refreshed in seconds automatically. Since it is intended for security or real-time surveillance, too many users will share the bandwidth and make video refresh slowly.
What is multicast? Is it for multiple users use? I would like to talk about what is multicast before talk about how to use Multicast with VIVOTEK camera. Multicast is a one-to-many transmission technology. It's an efficient way to deliver a single stream of live data to, in theory, unlimited number recipients at the same time. Instead of sending 1000 streams of information to 1000 users, it sends only one stream of audio, video, or data. The single stream will then be delivered to unlimited number of users via dedicated multicast routers dispersed throughout the Internet.
So if you enable multicast item on Network page of the camera, which means the camera support multicast. Anyone in the same local area network can choose to use multicast method to link to the camera. You can just go to the client settings page and choose multicast for protocol options.
What is the difference between UDP protocol, TCP protocol, and HTTP protocol? The stability is HTTP >= TCP > UDP and the requirement of network bandwidth is HTTP >= TCP > UDP. You can depend on your network environment to choose UDP, TCP or HTTP.
And we design a "protocol rolling" function to change your protocol automatically from UDP to TCP or from TCP to HTTP in case your network bandwidth is not stable.
Besides, if you do not forward the TCP/UDP port on your router for the camera, the protocol will be changed to HTTP protocol automatically when you access the camera via Internet from outside.
What can I do if I forget the password of the camera? There is a button in a hole on the case of the camera (varies from model to model) that is used to reset the system or restore the factory default settings. If you forget the password of the camera, please restore default setting.
Steps:
1. Find a probe (like a paper clip) to click the reset button inside the reset hole.
2. Hold the button down for a few seconds.
3. While you're holding down the button, the LED will go to POST (power on self test). Wait for the self-diagnostic to run twice.
4. You can release the reset button and set up the camera by using the Installation Wizard again
Steps:
1.Find a probe (like a paper clip) to click the reset button inside the reset hole.
2.Hold the button down for a few seconds.
3.While you're holding down the button, the LED will go to POST (power on self test). Wait for the self-diagnostic to run twice.
4.You can release the reset button and set up the camera by using the Installation Wizard again.
5.The following is a film that shows you how to restore default settings.
When I activate patrol for my PZ6122, the camera goes to each point but does not loop. It stops after the first round. Any ideas? Our camera can't pan or patrol continuously. It can pan/tilt only in manual mode because of the mechanism. The mechanical design for PT/PZ is quite different from a dome camera. The dome camera uses a belt and the motor system to rotate, while the PT/PZ uses gears.
The PT/PZ does not support continuous patrol but we have a new speed dome product that does. There is a way for the camera to patrol continuously, but the user will need to write a program to do this. Simply loop the following URL, which will rotate the camera. Try to use URL "http:///cgi-bin/camctrl.cgi?auto=pan"
The SD6122V has a "Patrol" and a "Cruise" button. What is the difference between these two functions? How do I set "Cruise" in the Camera control page? Cruise
To use the cruise function, first click the "Start" button, the user will have up to 100 seconds to control and record the movement of the camera. Clicking the "End" button will stop the session. Finally, the "Cruise" button will make the camera rotate the path of the saved session.
Patrol
To use the patrol function, the user needs to first set the preset location for the camera to follow. Clicking the patrol button will make the camera move between the locations. The main difference between a patrol and cruise path is that a cruse path is generally smoother.
How do I use Safe100? 1. Choose safe100 and read the Legal Agreement.
2. Choose Agree to go to the next page.
3. Check "Enable DDNS." Fill in an email address and host name. Please fill in a useful email account. The host name is the domain name, which you want to use to connect with the camera.
4. Fill in the key and confirm key. (You may use any combination of numbers and characters.)
5. Click "Register" button.
6. You can see the message " [Register] Starting to register, please wait a minute." in the DDNS Message box when you are waiting.
7. If registration is successful, you will receive the message "[Register] Register successfully. Your account information has been mailed to registered e-mail address. "
8. Please click "save" again to keep the settings on DDNS & UPnP.
Why does the camera ask me the user name and password after I have restored default settings or reset the camera? Some of our products have a default password. The default root password is the 12 digit (upper case) MAC address, for example, 0002D 100337A . The user name is root. Try to use the MAC address to log in to the camera. Notice the capital letter. You need to use default password when you access the following models for the first time.
- 2000 series: VS2101, VS2402, IP21X1, IP21x2.
- 3000 series: VS3100P, VS3102, IP31X1.
The people in front of the camera cannot hear my voice when I use two way audio. Why? Before using two way audio, make sure your camera has connected with the speakers and the microphone. After that, go to the Client settings page to see which talk button control style you chose. Toggle or Push?
If you chose Toggle, this means you must click once before talking. Clicking again will disable voice input.
Push means push to talk. When you want to talk, you have to hold down the button. If you release the button, the function will disable.

How to calculate the bite rate or the bandwidth? The bit rate is involved with audio and video setting and the complexity of image. Please download the Calculator.exe tool. The "Calculator.exe" is used to obtain the values of frame rate, video bit arte and audio bit rate of server.
The user can use the information for bandwidth evaluation and network deployment.
What is Flickless? It means fix the electronic shutter speed to decrease color rolling on the camera. The 1/100 is used for PAL and the 1/120 is used for NTSC.
What is the AV output difference between PT31x2 and PZ61x2? For PZ, AV output is for two-way audio. The camera supports a built-in microphone or an external microphone and speakers. You can also connect a microphone and speakers to the client side, such as to a PC or a notebook. For PT, the AV output is for audio and video. You can use an AV cable to connect the PT camera with a PC or a monitor.
What is the different between the AAC and GSM/AMR? Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is an audio compression standard that has evolved from MPEG2 - Layer 3 (MP3). AAC improves upon MP3 by using better filtering methods, noise shaping and quantization resolution to produce higher quality audio files at lower bit rates.
AAC is designed for use within digital broadcasting systems. With its ability to support sample rates from 8-128 KHz, it is the future of audio in multimedia.
GSM/AMR is an audio standard widely used for audio in GPRS and W-CDMA networks. The Global System for Mobile (GSM) Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) voice coder is defined in the ETSI GSM 06.90 specification. The Adaptive Multi Rate (AMR) speech codec is the default speech codec for GSM 2+ and WCDMA third generation wireless systems.
GSM-AMR is based on Algebraic CELP (ACELP) and operates at eight bit rates ranging from 4.75 Kbps to 12.2 Kbps. It is developed to preserve high speech quality under a wide range of transmission conditions.
The AMR codec is designed with a voice activity detector (VAD) and generation of comfort noise (CNG) parameters to reduce the number of transmitted bits and packets during silence periods.

Push means push to talk. When you want to talk, you have to hold down the button. If you release the button, the function will disable.
Why can't I hear the audio from the camera? Check the following items first.
1. Make sure you didn’t check the "Mute" item on the Audio page or the Network page.
2. Make sure you forward the Audio control port number, such as 5002 on your router, if you are accessing the camera via Internet.
3. Check your Client settings page of the camera; make sure you didn’t disable Audio.
If I want to use two way audio, which microphone and speaker can I use? There are many microphone types. Our cameras only support condenser and dynamic microphones. It is best if the microphone and speaker’s accord with the following specs.
External Microphone interface: 3.5mm stereo type jack,
* TIP/RING (L/R): signal (10mV ~ 100mV) with 3.3VDC bias (max 1mA)
* Sleeve: Ground
* Input impedance: 75ohm
* Suggested microphone: Condenser (Electret) microphone
AV out Interface: 3.5mm stereo type jack
* TIP (L): line-level audio signal (max 0.9Vrms)
* RING (R): composite video signal (1Vrms)
* Sleeve: Ground
* Output impedance: 100ohm
How to use "White light" of FD7131? You have to go to Application page to create one event with "Action"=Turn on flash LEDs for "x" seconds, and then FD7131 will turn on its white light while the trigger condition is matched. Besides, please especially note that there are 2 selections in System page for Whit light use:
1. Turn on the white light LED for triggered events.

What other troubleshooting steps do you recommend? If there is still any problem even after you have changed the programming at 6-, you can try to add 120 ohm resistor at the termination of PCR011N.
For normal operation, the cable terminal resistance should be at 120 ohm.
Most of installers will add a terminal resistor 120 ohm at terminal side once they found the data signal not work in normal situation.
